Sam Sadtler studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rochester in Rochester New York. From High School he was always passionate about the intersection of arts and science. After completing BA in Engineering, he was awarded tuition free fifth year to study photography and media studies. He participated in the studio art program for senior art majors. During a year long intensive course he developed and created a cohesive body of work surrounding the technological waste generated by society. Using old TVs and other electronics as his medium he created photos, videos, and installation pieces. His most recent body of work focused on questioning the sustainability of our society’s attitude towards electronics.
