Free and open to the public

This once-in-a-lifetime exhibition celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence, bringing together works that reflect our history, our values, and our icons — inviting visitors to explore how art transcends geography, politics, and boundaries to tell the American story.

Art as a Visual Passport
Exploring America's Patriotic Narrative

In 1776, the defining idea of the United States was the radical possibility of self-government — a nation governed by its citizens. Through contemporary artistic expression, Passport to Patriotism explores how those ideals continue to resonate today, both at home and abroad.

“Public diplomacy begins with storytelling. Through this exhibition, visitors will encounter art that reminds us not only where we have come from, but also the enduring principles that continue to guide our future.”

— Erin Scavino, Director, Art in Embassies
