Sage Dawson

Sage Dawson examines the history of cartographic rendering: mapping in order to investigate collective experiences, sublimity, and the distinct identities of spaces. Her work draws from community projects, radical cartography, and the landscape itself to document and present lost, abandoned, and forgotten sites.

Sage completed an MFA in Printmaking from the University of New Mexico and a BFA from Missouri State University. Her work was recently included in From Here to There published by Princeton Architectural Press and Elephant Magazine. Sage has recently exhibited her work at the University of Toledo Center for the Visual Arts, the International Print Center New York, the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University, Pratt MWP School of Art, and the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art. She occasionally guest writes for Printeresting, has collaborated with the Tamarind Institute, and is included in the The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program.
