Painter, printmaker, and sculptor Rodolfo Ayoroa was a pioneer of kinetic art, experimenting with geometric shapes that distorted the viewer’s perception and created the illusion of movement. Though his preferred media changed throughout his career, his works consistently explored the concept of motion and space, with an emphasis on color.
