“The Joy of Life is a collection of moments dealing with unspoken relationships that exist between humans and our surrounding species. I am curious about what compels humans to contain creatures, and the types of animal-human relationships that emerge from domestication. I have noticed that many of the resulting relationships involve an intense emotional and physical investment by humans. This commitment yields a culture that is filled with dominance, affection, competition, and expectations.”
