A photographer, writer, and zoologist for nearly 30 years, Nicole Duplaix has dedicated her life to the environmental sciences, including international conservation and coordination of endangered species, wildlife trade, and habitat programs.
She has worked in more than 70 countries, often under difficult conditions, and is a co-founder of TRAFFIC, an organization that monitors and documents international trade in endangered and protected species.
Duplaix is a published National Geographic photographer and writer with an extensive record of scientific field research. She’s also written six books and more than a hundred publications and presentations, including photo/text articles, photo-essays, and film scripts.
Her photography spans the spectrum, including portraits, habitats, animal behaviors, landscapes, aerials, endangered species, and animals of all sizes.
