Natalie Cheung draws from the rich history of photography and investigates the push and pull between physical and captured reality. Her expressive works begin with light and gesture, sometimes construed as calm and contemplative and others as aggressive or panicked apprehension. Her work is held in the collections of the Museum of Fine Art, Houston; the British Council; and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, among others.
