Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, began teaching at the Pratt Institute in New York City in 1973. Wrote influencial documents against the Vietnam War. Editor of Artists and Writers Protest Against the War in Vietnam: Poems in 1967.
Winner of the Guggenheim Fellowship 1973.
