Known for her vibrant Philadelphia cityscapes and landscapes, Elaine Lisle has concentrated in oil painting for over twenty-five years. In her plein air, or outdoor, compositions, she incorporates the “interplay of architectural elements with the human form.” Lisle’s paintings capture each intimate moment, encouraging the viewer to look at them from a different perspective; her artistic goal is to “portray the warmth of light as it bounces around the elements of the composition and the colors that might not be evident at first glance.”
