Conor Fagan’s artistic practice encompasses diverse projects, from surrealist-inspired paintings of colorful biomorphic forms to soft sculptures crafted from fabric and rope. For FUN COUNTRY, Fagan replicated the sign outside of an abandoned waterpark in Interlochen, Michigan. Shortly after he completed the paintings, the sign was dismantled. His work highlights a rapidly changing landscape while evoking a sense of nostalgia.
