Bogdan Grom

Grom, who was born in Prosecco (Trieste, Italy), has lived with his family in Trieste, Prague, Zagreb, Subotica and Ljubljana. After his arrival in the United States (1957), he has resided in North Salem, Westchester County, N.Y., and Englewood, Bergen County, N.J. Grom studied at the academies of fine arts of Perugia, Rome, and Venice, where he graduated in 1944. In addition, he frequented in 1950 special courses in applied arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany.

Recently, he had a retrospective in the City Art Gallery of Ljubljana (Mestna galerija). He is represented in public and private collections in Europe and the United States: Modern Gallery, Ljubljana; International Graphic Center, Ljubljana; Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna, Rome, Italy; Museo Revoltella, Trieste, Italy; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum New York, N.Y.; Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati, OH.; New Jersey State Museum, Trenton, N.J.; Museum of Modern Art and National Museum, Belgrade, Serbia; National Museum of Art, Osaka, and Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, Japan.
