Known for the “almost purely visual nature of his work,” Bill Komoski uses grids, mesh, veils, and other surface effects to produce layered, organic, abstract paintings that are “simultaneously manic and mesmerizing.” Komoski graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, and showcased his work in the landmark New York/New Wave exhibition at P.S.1 alongside Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kenny Scharf, and other luminary abstract artists.
