Avish Khebrehzadeh, a Washington DC resident, was born in Tehran and studied there, Rome and Washington, DC. In 2003 she won the Prize for Young Italian Art at the 50th Venice Biennale for her video animations “The Cow” and “Distant Memory” and her large scale drawings created on multiple layers of Chinese papers using olive oil, graphite and resin.
