Anneli Arms is a New York-based sculptor, printmaker, and arts educator whose subjects range from insects and human figures to the Statue of Liberty. In Liberty Reflection, she depicts the monument as a mirrored diptych, using frenetic linework. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and later studied at the Art Students League of New York. Arms’s practice is highly experimental, incorporating materials such as wire, acrylic, and liquid-poured polyurethane into sculptural works that blur the boundaries between disciplines and media.
