Ann Faison

Ann Faison is an artist, a writer, and teacher. Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1964, she received an MFA from Cal Arts in 1993. Faison teaches drawing and other courses at public and private schools and universities.

Faison has exhibited in museums and galleries across the country including The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Weatherspoon Museum in North Carolina, and The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Her drawings have been published in catalogs and periodicals, used for book illustrations, cover art, and textile design.

Faison published her first book, Dancing with the Midwives: A Memoir of Art and Grief, in 2011. Her second book, Four Summers Left is set to be released in January 2015.
