

Born in 1987, Alexa Torre is a photographer and visual artist born and based in Merida, Yucatán, México.
Torre studied Communication Sciences at Universidad Anahuac Mayab and Photography at the New England School of Photography in Boston, MA. Alexa’s practice has generated critical reflections on femininity, the body, and the symbolic from both poetic and political perspectives. Her work has been recognized for its ability to weave intimate gestures with incisive commentary on the social and cultural environment, creating images that engage in dialogue with art history, territory, and contemporary spirituality.
