Avani Patel’s works hang in the Ambassador’s residence in Panama City, Panama and the artist was chosen to participate in ART in Embassies visiting artist program from April 18 through 25, 2005. Throughout her stay, she held lectures and workshops for students, local artists and connoisseurs. Through her workshops, Patel encouraged Panamanians artists to explore themes of their own cultural heritage in their artwork. Over two hundred Panamanians attended these events, giving them a better idea of the diversity of American art and culture.
