Ellen Skidmore is a Kentucky artist who specializes in color rich images of the equestrian world. Her vision is clear and captures a rare essence. Born Baltimore, MD in 1963, she moved to Kentucky in 1981 where she attended a liberal arts college and later transferred to the University of Kentucky, receiving her BFA in 1988. The beautiful bluegrass and European travel were the perfect stimuli for her early painting endeavors.
