Elzbieta Sikorska was born in Warsaw, Poland. She studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, left Poland in 1986, and settled in the United States in the same year. She has lived in the Washington, DC area since 1988. She has worked in a variety of media, most recently focusing on large-scale multimedia drawings and printmaking. She has received numerous honors and awards. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and is in many public and private collections.
