Richard G. Packer was the owner of a well patronized, seasonal art gallery in the center of the Mt. Washington Valley in North Conway, New Hampshire. Packer received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1938, and taught many students at his studio in Marblehead, Massachusetts. His New England sea and landscapes hang in every state in the union. Every winter Packer traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States in order to see and record the pulse of life. Each summer the gallery was then full of newly painted works with a variety of subject matter. Packer opened his New Hampshire gallery in 1953 and remained active until his death.
