Born in Hampton, Virginia, Calvin Coleman spent his adolescent years in the quiet suburb town of Swarthmore just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Calvin attended Lincoln University where he received his degree in Early Childhood Education.
In recognizing his God given talent, Calvin has been blessed to create works of art that seem to speak to the audience. Infusing movement and color in many of his works, Calvin sets out to capture ones feelings, and emotions in his paintings.
Many have recognized Coleman’s ability to create authentic creations, as he has been commissioned to illustrate poetry and children books, furnish works for corporate settings, and propositioned to display paintings at various galleries and expos.
Residing in the DC metro area of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Calvin continues to perfect his craft and hold on to that which is dear to him.
