The Wolf Kahn Collection contains twenty prints and paintings by renowned artist Wolf Kahn (1927-2020). These landscapes, executed in varying degrees of abstraction, highlight Kahn’s deft command of color, light, and form. Born into a Jewish family in Stuttgart, Germany, Kahn fled Europe as a child, immigrating to the United States. Throughout his seven decade career, Kahn blended aspects of representational and abstract painting to create luminous, dynamic compositions. His work can be found in prestigious collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
