Considered to be a founder of conceptual art, Robert Barry concentrates on non-material artworks, installations, and performance art using “otherwise invisible media.” With language as his primary medium, Barry abandons the physical limitations of the art object to express the unperceived or unseen space around objects. “The known, the unknown, and the grey area between are key to equally examine in Barry’s work.
