My work is an interpretation of a rural view, meant to remind you of a simpler time, when satisfaction and happiness could be achieved with friends, family and hard work. Often the subjects are filtered and distilled to concentrate on these timeless themes, common throughout rural America. I interpret my subject through the manipulation of light and atmosphere.
Me?
I always knew, and I’m glad I didn’t give it up for a day job. Like the subjects I paint, I too prefer simpler things. Paint brushes and tools take precedence over smart phones and downloads.
