Jack Delano was a Ukrainian American documentary photographer whose images feature migrant industry and agricultural workers, as well as people of diverse backgrounds. Often playing with scale, Delano extended his photographs beyond their typical dimensions to dramatize and highlight the strength and magnitude of his subjects. His photographs recorded an area through its cultural and social patterns, differentiating him from most other Farm Security Administration photographers who documented only the landscape and its people.
