Painter, metal engraver, and woodcutter Inu Bere is one of Timor-Leste’s most prominent artists. His paintings incorporate the ancient weaving technique of tais, a symbol of his country’s cultural identity. He is currently the head of the art department at Projeto Montanha, a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities and community development for Timorese youth and their families.
