I was born in Kingston, Jamaica and received my formative education at Wolmer’s Girls’ School.
After leaving high school I attended the Edinburgh College of Art ’63 – ’67 and the Maryland Institute College of Art ’81-’82 where I earned the DA (Diploma of Art ) and MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree respectively.
I have been a practicing visual artist and painter for over 40 years and held over 12 one woman exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Jamaica in and overseas.
I also spent many years as Director of Studies, Director and Dean of the School of Visual Arts, Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and am currently retired Vice Principal of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.
I live and work in Kingston Jamaica and continue to be an active practitioner in the field of painting.
