Georgia Nassikas creates glowing, textured surfaces in oil and wax that enliven her images. Nassikas’ compositions present interactions between “elemental form and color, the crossing of the representational with the abstract, the geometry of angles and shadows, and the light of a lifting sky.” As a lifelong conservationist, she also conceptualizes her images to inspire environmental action.
