Enelda Faustina Martinez Lopez, who lives in Rincon de Dolores, has been embroidering with Honduras Threads since the organization started in 2002. Embroidery, she explained, gave her a way to earn money in a community where there are no jobs and, at the same time, raise her three children. It, also, gave her something new to learn. Over the last 20 years, income has helped her and her mate buy land and build a house. She has said she is grateful to have one of her pieces selected for the exhibition.
