Cecelia Burnett’s large landscape paintings capture a visionary mood. The paintings are a form of acrylic staining on unprimed canvas. The forms are built with layers of transparent colors to create a lyrical and luminescent quality – an impression with a fleeting image using intense colors.
She has studied at the Corcoran College of Art and Design and the National Art School in Washington, D.C. Her paintings have been shown in group and solo exhibitions throughout the country and are in private and corporate collections throughout the world.
She is a resident artist in the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
