Carol Oldenburg

Carol Oldenburg was born in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from Kutztown State College, Kutztown, Pennsylvania, and has studied oil painting with Joyce O’Brien in Boca Raton, Florida. Oldenburg highlights the beauty in images she sees on a daily basis; both gardens and farmland have been recurring themes in her paintings. Oldenburg applies, rubs in, scratches through, and layers paint to achieve the subtle effects, described as dreamlike, that are evident in her work.
