Caitlin Golesh, of Harrisburg Pennsylvania is currently a senior in the BFA program at Penn State University. After having discovered her love for art while attending the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, drawing and painting have remained a constant in her life. Golesh’s current work strongly reflects psychology of the aging mind and how one’s mind varies among individuals. Her work also explores the realms of mental illness and extreme emotions embodied in physical forms. These paintings draw from personal events in her own life, developing and changing accordingly. In her paintings Golesh embodies these emotions through her intricate and vibrating line work, along with the disintegrating and abstract manipulation of the form.
