Ms. Cassidy was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and raised in Hudson, Ohio. She lived in Alaska for 15 years. When she decided to pursue a career in art, she moved to the Seattle area, where she thought she would find a larger audience and market for her work.
Ms. Cassidy’s art has been featured in publications and exhibits around the country and locally, including the Bellevue Art Museum. She also received a number of awards for her work, including the Award of Excellence from the Bellevue Art Museum Fair in 2001.
