Born in Houston, Texas, Arthur Turner was inspired to paint the works included in the AIEP exhibition while on a visit to Austria. He recalls “focusing on the smallest things in nature: the exact red hue of a dragonfly, the works elaborate on the mysteries in the natural landscape.” Turner received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and currently teaches at the Glassell School of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. He has conducted many workshops including at the Malakademie Schloss Goldegg in Salzburg, Austria. Selected collections including his works are the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas, and Beaumont Art Museum, Beaumont, Texas.
