Andrea Haffner displays her work at Eastern Market in Washington, DC that includes jewelry as well as photography and sculptural work. Her jewelry is made from plant materials which she finds and preserves. These natural elements are then deconstructed and recomposed within sterling silver frames using resins and special dyes. Each piece is unique, and has a shadow box-like feel. Andrea’s larger sculptural work is made from natural elements suspended in resins within steel frames. Her black and white photography is both natural and figurative, and is printed in editions of 30 or less onto high quality fiber paper.
Andrea has been honored to show her work at such fine craft shows as the Smithsonian Craft Show, the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft show, and several others. In addition, she recently completed a large-scale installation of 50 of her sculptures in Shenzhen, China.
