Amie Adelman is the Associate Professor of Fibers in the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, in Denton. She received an MFA in Fibers from the University of Kansas and a BFA in Fibers from Arizona State University. She has been awarded numerous travel grants from UNT to research textiles in Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Guatemala, Norway, Scotland, and England. Adelman exhibits artwork nationally and internationally and has been published in two books, Dyeing and Screen-Printing on Textiles and Fiberarts Design Book Six and in numerous journals including American Craft, Surface Design Journal, and Fiberarts.
