Michele Chisholm Leavitt studied at the University of Rochester and the Nazareth College of Rochester, before earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, and later, her Master of Fine Arts degree from Cornell University, Ithica, New York. The recipient of several awards, she has participated in numerous exhibitions along the East Coast, and her work can be found in many public and private collections in the United States.
