Born in 1966 in Sarajevo, Amer Baksic graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1991. He was later appointed Assistant to the drawing department in the Academy of Fine Arts in 1997.

Amer Baksic uses paper drawings to create new spaces that invite us to discover and travel through passages, creating an illusion of doors and corridors in black and white.
