Photographer, art director, and fashion designer Kader Diaby’s photographs are visual stories that reach beyond stereotypes to express “the subtleties of our lives” and what unites people. His work calls into question “the concordance between our intimate and collective identities” and seeks to redefine “the plural ways of being African today, in order to move from a subjugated identity to a chosen identity.”
